Burdekin Swim School has a 16m x 8m salt water pool heated to approximately 31 degrees by solar and gas heating.

The pool is enclosed and undercover and was especially built as a Learn to Swim Complex.

We have the best filtration system available using both D.E and Sand filters.The pool and surrounds are always maintained to a very high standard.

Seating is provided around the pool and an enclosed play area with video/TV and homework area situated right next to the pool area.

Swimming lessons and Aquarobics classes are held 3 terms of the year from October through to July holidays. In January we run a Holiday Instensive Swimming Program.

				Burdekin Swim School is proud to be a "Swim Austraila Certified Centre." "Swim Austraila" is a governing body set up to enforce that swim schools are being run to the high standard that we would expect for our children. Teachers are Austswim accredited. All staff are members of the Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association. The centre follows approved national guidelines. BURDEKIN SWIM SCHOOL WAS 1 OF ONLY 10 SWIM SCHOOLS CHOSEN IN AUSTRALIA AS A DISPLAY CENTRE BY MILO SWIM AUSTRALIA. ONLY CHOOSE A SWIM AUSTRALIA CERTIFIED SWIM CENTRE FOR YOU CHILD* Feel free to call in and inspect our swim school at any time. You are also invited to observe our swimming lessons in progress. Staff Our staff are special people who have a genuine interest in teaching your child to swim. They are caring, firm and assertive but never negative or nasty. All staff are qualified with Austswim-having their "Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificates." Other certifictes held by our staff are level 1 coaching certificate NASSA. Levels 1, 2 and 3 baby teaching certificates. Levels 1 and 2 Royal life Saving Examines Certifictes and Bronze Surf Life Saving Medallion. All staff hokld current First Aid certificates with CPR being updated each year. We hold in house staff training sessions and keep updated with the latest videos, swimming magazines and conferences.
